Careers in Aviation

  Step 5: Gain Hands-on Experience

Informational Interview Questions
The following questions are intended to help you build a detailed “picture” about a particular aviation career during your informational interview. Use these questions only as a guideline. You may not have time to ask all of these questions, so pick questions that you want to know more about. Your interview will be most informative, if you create questions that reflect your own curiosity about a particular career. Other questions will probably pop into your head spontaneously during the interview. Remember, people are often happy to discuss their careers and experiences with others – especially students.

AvScholars divided these questions into four categories to help you ask questions regarding the interviewee’s educational and career background.

Job-related
Educational Background
Networking
